Born and raised in Minnesota, Tony joined the United States Air Force in 1983.  After serving in the armed forces, with a strong sense of service to his fellow human being, Tony decided he could best serve his community by becoming a law enforcement officer.  In 1989, he began his law enforcement career in the Great State of Nevada, joining the Nevada Highway Patrol.

As an NHP officer, Tony served all across our great state, first in northeastern Nevada as a patrolman, then later moving to the Reno area where he served as a patrol officer and motor officer, with occasional assignments in the southern regions of the state. Tony had the opportunity to work with officers and agencies across the state and is well-known and respected by many of today’s law enforcement leaders.

In 2005, Tony switched gears and came to work for the Storey County Sheriff’s Office.  During his tenure with the Sheriff’s Office, he has served as a patrol deputy, investigator, patrol sergeant, jail commander, and for the past six years, has served as Sheriff Antinoro’s Chief Deputy, overseeing all aspects of the Sheriff’s Office.

These experiences and positions have provided great knowledge into the operations of the Sheriff’s Office, Storey County, and afforded him the opportunity to get to know many of the residents and businesses across the county.  He is knowledgeable about the current mission of the office and agrees with the current philosophy of community policing and working towards resolving issues before they become problems.

While he will undoubtedly make changes to reflect his management, the course and mission of the Sheriff’s Office will remain the same: fair and impartial enforcement, equal treatment to all, a commitment to servant leadership to the people of Storey County, and a continuance of partnerships and programs aimed at helping all our residents and visitors to the extent the Sheriff’s Office can. Community focused!
